2. Immortals Crossing the Sea Taoist Tai Chi - Heaven Human Earth and Four Phases

Over the years, many tai chi principles have been misinterpreted. As a consequence, misunderstandings have been passed on into further mistakes.

The improper training with misleading concepts hurts practitioners instead of upgrading health.

Mystified teaching aiming to confuse, cumbersome, unscientific and illogical, has replaced authentic effective methods.

I must contribute my best to bring tai chi practices back on the right track.
However, it is inappropriate to criticise any particular school or lineage. I simply have to demonstrate the proper methods.
Thus I have to create the Immortals Crossing the Sea to provide a general reference.

Immortals Crossing the Sea Tai Chi

is a combination of

Horse Leaping up to the Sky – Heaven, Man and Earth &

Tiger Crossing Mountains – Four Phases

3. Horse Leaping up to the Sky – Heaven, Man and Earth

There are three tiers, heaven, man and earth. Similarly there are three chambers in the human trunk. In the posture of training, the body is in three sections .

The toddling of a horse implies the method and benefit of lifting the legs.

There are twelve meridians in a human body. Six come up and down along the arms. Another six come up and down along the legs. Both methods of the arms and legs have to be practiced in order to balance yin and yang.

4. Tiger Crossing Mountains – Four Phases

Tigers have the ability to stride across mountains. The tiger posture is the method to raise energy up the du channel at the back of the body.

This method trains on lowering the posture, relaxing the hips, spreading the chest, with the head pushing up towards the sky and the neck straightening to raise energy up the back. This does not mean the other methods do not conduct energy through the du channel. In fact every stance circulates energy. It is simply that practicing this method ensures the beginners a shortcut to success.

Maria
Apart from practising the Phoenix Qigong regularly, Maria likes to training in the Immortals Tai Chi.
She likes the form. She likes the flow in the movements and she likes the flow of energy in the form.
